Western Health recognises the importance of consumer partnership in research. We are committed to ensure that you as a consumer are provided the opportunity to provide us with valuable information to help our researchers develop research projects that take into consideration the needs and expectations of our community.
As a consumer advisor in research at Western Health you can:
- Work with our researchers by contributing your life experience and/or lived experience with a disease and provide insight into how their research can make a difference in the community.
- Actively contribute to advancing medical research projects by being involved in the development of patient facing materials.
- Assist our researchers with communicating their science in plain language
- Joining a committee to work on specific projects
